Bern - Innosuisse is supporting the participation of Swiss start-ups at the World Future Energy Summit 2023 in Abu Dhabi. Switzerland has already been represented at the Middle East’s largest cleantech trade fair with a SWISS Pavilion for more than a decade already.

Since first being held in 2008, the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) has developed into the most important cleantech trade fair in the Middle East with a global impact. Right from the start, Switzerland has been represented at the trade fair and has now operated a SWISS Pavilion - a joint stand for the Swiss export economy as a whole - for more than a decade

Innosuisse is also keen to allow start-ups from the cleantech space to present their business models at the SWISS Pavilion in Abu Dhabi. The federal innovation agency has therefore designated the WFES as a leading international trade fair, for which it specifically promotes the participation of Swiss start-ups with global ambitions. Start-ups that are either currently participating in the Innosuisse coaching program or have received a corresponding Innosuisse certificate no longer than three years ago can apply for this funding.

Interested start-ups can apply for funding on the relevant Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE) website. The next WFES is set to take place January 16-19, 2023. The SWISS Pavilion in Abu Dhabi is organized by the specialist logistics company T-LINK.

Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week takes place during the WFES, in addition to other events such as the annual conference of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). The headquarters of IRENA are located in Abu Dhabi.
