The Schlumberger Digital Forum 2022 is taking place September 20-22 at KKL Lucerne. Over the course of three days, more than 1,000 prominent figures from business, research, technology and the oil industry will seek to explore the possibilities of digital transformation in the energy industry. “Together, we will envision a new future where the power of digitalization at scale strengthens our businesses, enabling us to thrive in a low-carbon world”, the event brochure states.
At the event, Amin Nasser, CEO of Saudi Aramco, the world’s largest oil producer, is set to hold a keynote speech. Representatives from the Occidental Petroleum Corporation (OXY) and the Oil and Gas Climate Initiative (OGCI) are expected to take part in a panel discussion focused on the energy transition, while officials from Chevron Corporation in California, a successor firm to Standard Oil, will present the digital transformation of well construction projects and highlight digital solutions for petro-technical working processes. Spokespersons from oil companies including Petronas and Schlumberger will discuss the transformation of oil and gas production. Under the title “Delivering Digital Transformation”, Microsoft is represented in the leadership program alongside Chevron and Saudi Aramco. The program also includes three evenings of entertainment.
The event has been organized by Schlumberger, the world’s largest oil exploration and oilfield services company. It is headquartered in Willemstad on the Dutch Caribbean island of Curaçao and maintains operational headquarters in Paris, Houston, The Hague and London. In total, 156 customers and partners will be exhibiting technical solutions at the event.
