Holcim acquires market leader in USA

Holcim has entered into an agreement to acquire SES Foam LLC from Spring in Texas, USA. The biggest independent spray foam insulation company in the USA is projected to generate net sales of US$ 200 million in 2022. According to a press release, SES has a track record of double-digit growth. The company produces innovative energy-efficiency and bio-based solutions for new and green retrofitting projects.

According to Jamie Gentoso, Head Solutions & Products, this acquisition in the “highly profitable” U.S. spray foam insulation market “is another exciting step in the expansion of Solutions & Products, advancing our ‘Strategy 2025 – Accelerating Green Growth’”. SES is “highly complementary to our roofing and insulation business”. This transaction adds to Holcim’s recent acquisitions, including Firestone Building Products and Malarkey, taking its proforma 2022 net sales in roofing and insulation business to US$ 3.5 billion.

SES was founded in 2009. Alongside its “superior” and environmentally friendly products, such as the sucrose-based spray foam insulation certified for its high bio-based content, SES offers value-added services to contractors, including onsite technical instruction, business consulting, branding and lead generation support.
