St.Gallen/Bucharest - All signs are pointing to expansion at the Romanian subsidiary of Militzer & Münch. The St.Gallen-based logistics company, which has been operating in Romania for the past 20 years, has relocated to new premises. It is also expanding its road and sea freight business and recruiting new team members.

According to a press release, the subsidiary of logistics company Militzer & Münch, which has been active in Romania for the past 20 years, is not only stable but actually reporting growth. All signs are pointing to expansion, despite the turbulence caused by war in neighboring Ukraine, the energy crisis and high inflation.

“The logistics industry is very dynamic; you have to act flexibly and to be able to react to current market changes,” says Militzer & Münch Romania Managing Director Valentin Dragu. He adds that he is proud to be accomplishing this “even in difficult phases.” As a medium-sized transport service provider, the company is holding its own “very well against the competition,” and so he is “generally optimistic” about the future.

Militzer & Münch Romania focuses on imports and exports within Europe, and its customers are mainly from the industrial goods and clothing sectors. Although the subsidiary has recorded a slight decline in project business so far this year, the volume of road transport and sea freight has increased. In autumn, the company and its staff of around 30 moved to new, modern offices in the center of Bucharest.

“We expect trade within Europe to intensify next year, which will open up many opportunities for us,” says Dragu. His focus is now on further expanding transport business and trade relations in this direction – hopefully soon with the committed support of new team members. ce/mm
