PAR, a North American provider of data-driven restaurant management solutions, has agreed a takeover of the Zug-based firm Menu Technologies. With the integration of its online ordering component, PAR is able to close a gap in its service portfolio. According to information from the company itself, more than 100,000 restaurants in over 110 countries use PAR services.
“Today, restaurants are overwhelmed with disparate technologies that are devoid of the connectivity or intelligence that a unified solution offers”, explains Savneet Singh, CEO of PAR Technology Corporation, in a press release jointly issued by the two companies. Following the takeover of Menu Technologies, restaurants will now have at their disposal a “unified, data-driven network from the point of order to the kitchen, and all the way through fulfilment”, he adds.
Menu Technologies is described as one of the fastest-growing, modern omnichannel ordering solutions for the restaurant market. The joint client base now also includes brands such as dean & david and Vapiano. McWin, an investor in the two aforementioned brands, confirms in the press release that: “As active customers of the PAR and Menu brands, we can attest to the fact that this acquisition will provide tremendous value to operators”.
Marlon Koch, co-founder and Chief Product Officer (CPO) at Menu Technologies, is excited at the prospect of becoming “part of a unified solution that is truly revolutionizing restaurant technology and supporting enterprise brands across continents”.
