Sevelen - Textilcolor AG has joined an international initiative seeking to ban chemical pollutants from production processes. With this step, the manufacturer of textile dyes and auxiliary agents is striving to expand its sustainable and environmentally friendly production activities.

Textilcolor AG from Sevelen in the canton of St.Gallen has announced that it has joined the international initiative Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC). Based in the Dutch capital city of Amsterdam, the non-profit foundation now boasts more than 150 companies from the chemicals industry among its members. It is committed to banning pollutants from global supply chain in the fashion industry.

“Over the past few years, ZDHC has become one of the best-known projects in the industry for driving chemical and wastewater management and thus the protection of our planet”, explains Detlef Fischer, CEO of Textilcolor, before adding: “By participating in the ZDHC initiative, we are clearly expressing our commitment and hope to contribute actively to the further development of the program”. eb
