Kloten/New Delhi - The Indian airline Air India will fly between New Delhi and Zurich four times a week from June 16, 2024. This represents a revival of the route between the two destinations that was ended back in 1997.

Starting on June 16, 2024, the Indian airline Air India will resume regular flights between the destinations of New Delhi and Zurich. As detailed in a press release issued by Flughafen Zürich AG, which is the operator of Zurich Airport, Air India will serve this route with four flights per week. The flights will take off from Zurich on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday evenings at 20:50, before landing at 08:05 in New Delhi the following morning. The return flights from New Delhi to Zurich are scheduled to take off at 14:05 in the afternoon and land in Switzerland at 19:15 in the evening later that day. Air India will use Boeing 787-8 aircraft, which offer room for 256 passengers, to serve this route.

“We are delighted to welcome back Air India, and with them an additional Star Alliance Member in Zurich”, explains Stefan Tschudin, Chief Operations Officer, Flughafen Zürich AG, in the press release.

In addition to Air India, Switzerland’s home carrier and Star Alliance partner Swiss also connects Zurich with the Indian capital New Delhi on a daily basis. ce/ww
