Schindellegi/New York - Kühne+Nagel is expanding its logistics facilities at J.F. Kennedy (JFK) Airport in New York. The expansion includes a 4,500 square meter facility with temperature control for medical products and perishables as well as an additional 10,000 square meters of warehouse space.

Kühne+Nagel, one of the world's largest logistics companies, has significantly expanded its service capacities at New York's JFK Airport. According to a statement from the company based in the canton of Schwyz, the existing 78,763 square meter warehouse has now been complemented by an independent, standard-compliant and temperature-controlled area with a surface area of 4,500 square meters for medical products and perishable goods.

Furthermore, an additional 10,000 square meters of warehouse space is now available for the healthcare, aerospace and semiconductor product areas. The new space also includes a modernized office and other facilities.

“I’m particularly proud of the investment we have made to further enhance the temperature-controlled supply chain with end-to-end temperature handling in our facility, as we continue to expand our healthcare footprint and support across North America,” commented Greg Martin, Senior Vice President Air Logistics at Kühne+Nagel in North America. Healthcare and Semicon are part of the growth areas in Kühne+Nagel’s Roadmap 2026.

This bonded container freight station is ideally situated close to the airport, is available around the clock, has 20 loading and unloading gates and is both GDP and C-TPAT compliant, according to the statement. The location also offers additional security and improved capacities for standardized pallets and containers (Unit Load Devices, ULDs). ce/mm
