Zurich/Woburn - SBLI, an insurance company based in the US state of Massachusetts, is now working with Swiss Re to introduce automated claims settlement. Automated Claims Experience digitally guides clients through the claims process.

The American insurance company SBLI is now offering its customers digital claims settlement developed by the reinsurer Swiss Re. According to a press release, Swiss Re’s Automated Claims Experience can be accessed via the customer portal SBLI.com. The Savings Bank Mutual Life Insurance Company of Massachusetts (SBLI) has headquarters in Woburn and provides life insurance  from term life insurance to comprehensive insurance or a combination of both.

According to information from SBLI, the digital regulation now offered comprises a simple list of documents that are required before submitting a claim. Customers are guided through a secure process that can be completed in ten minutes or less. Documents, including the death certificate of the insured party, can be uploaded via a mobile device or computer. Swiss Re’s tool uses simple, sensitive language to reduce stress and frustration for the bereaved during a difficult time.

Jim Morgan, President and CEO of SBLI, commented: “A life insurance policy is more than a piece of paper; it’s a promise of security and protection. Along with that promise, we are committed to ensuring beneficiaries receive the payments they are entitled to as quickly as possible.” Swiss Re’s Automated Claims Experience enables a more efficient process so that families can “focus instead on their healing journey as they grieve the loss of a loved one”. gba
