Sion/Abu Dhabi - The fourth edition of the Swiss Cleantech Report is being presented at the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2024. The report, which was produced under the leadership of CleantechAlps, outlines innovations in the areas of energy and climate change.

The Swiss Cleantech Report (SCR) is being published for the fourth time, following on from the 2011, 2017 and 2020 editions. This fourth edition of the SCR is being presented during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2024, which is set to run April 16-18, 2024, in the capital city of the United Arab Emirates. The report was produced under the leadership of CleantechAlps, which is headquartered in Sion in the canton of Valais, with the support of the Swiss Federal Offices of Energy and of Environment, the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property, Switzerland Global Enterprise, CSEM, Energypolis, Gaznat, Studer Inotec and CimArk, further details of which can be found in a press release.

The Swiss Cleantech Report aims to promote Swiss expertise and innovations that support the energy and climate transition, the press release states. In this context, Swiss expertise is to be made available to interested partners who are keen to jointly address the challenges presented by climate change. The SCR is intended to offer visibility and international recognition for Swiss cleantech companies active in this fast-growing sector, in addition to raising awareness of Swiss innovations and boosting the export capacity of the sector. According to Eric Plan, Secretary General of CleantechAlps, the SCR is part of the efforts to create “a resilient economy based on an innovative Switzerland”.

According to its website, the mission of CleantechAlps is to promote Western Switzerland as a center of excellence for sustainability and cleantech. As an expert in the innovation ecosystem and technology generalist, the network that the organization has developed over the past 15 years helps to connect stakeholders in the economic fabric of the region.
