The technology firm from Hergiswil in the canton of Nidwalden is showcasing smart accessories such as laptop sleeves, phone pouches, tote bags and briefcases that serve to protect against potential digital threats, further details of which can be found in a press release.

According to Alessia Ferronato, Partner at Ferronato, these range from “stopping tracking of our location, remote activation of our phone to eavesdropping on our conversations to stealing critical information and personal data”, she explains in the press release.

The accessories are made from metallized fabrics and should prevent “hacking, tracking, potential cybercrimes, data theft, digital infiltration and system breeches without the consent of an individual or individuals”, the press release explains further.

Ferronato is world-renowned for its precision tools, abrasives and metallized fabrics. According to the press release, the company’s products are used across various industries, including but not limited to the aerospace, aeronautics, defense and automotive sectors.

Up to March 31, 2022, the Swiss Pavilion at Expo 2020 is shining a light on the heavily export-focused Swiss economy across an area of approximately 2,000 square meters. Here, visitors can enjoy impressions of an Alpine landscape as well as inspecting a model of a highly networked Swiss city.
