Lucerne - The House of Gübelin and the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra invited people to attend the fifth Lucerne Symphony Ball. At the charitable event, guests donated a total of 147,434.50 Swiss francs that will be used to support youth projects.

With the fifth Lucerne Symphony Ball, the hosts of the event, namely the House of Gübelin and the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, celebrated a small anniversary. According to a press release, the social event, which was held on November 11 at the Lucerne Culture and Congress Centre (KKL), successfully raised donations totaling 147,434.50 Swiss francs on November 11. The proceeds from the charitable event are intended to help young people access classical music and other cultural offerings. The fundraising campaign was organized in the form of an auction, through which attendees had the opportunity to bid for a house concert featuring a quartet from the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, among other things. A raffle was also held, with 160 instant prizes up for grabs. However, the main prize was a Splended Feather jewelry set from Gübelin Jewellery. The set consists of a diamond necklace and earrings with removable ear charms, meaning that they can be worn as classic stud earrings or as ear pendants for glitzier events. Rubies provide bright color accents, the press release explains.

“It is not only the people of Lucerne that attend the ball; we also welcome guests from across Switzerland and abroad”, comments Numa Bishop Ullmann, director of the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, in the press release. The evening was described as a “highlight with a good cause”, supporting the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra and its youth development platform.

“The ball has established itself as a real jewel in the crown of Lucerne social events. As a committed family business, we strive to make a lasting contribution to promoting the arts and culture, in addition to sharing the joy of classical music”, as Raphael Gübelin, President of the House of Gübelin, explains in the press release. ce/ww
