Langnau i. E. BE - The printing firm Vögeli has installed a punch press and gluing machine at its factory. This will allow the company to handle the manufacturing process for recyclable packaging in full under one roof. In this way, the sustainable credentials of its packaging will be further enhanced.

Based in the Emmental region of Switzerland, the printing firm Vögeli has supplemented its plant with the addition of new machinery, including a punch press and gluing machine. As such, all production steps for packaging and shipping boxes can now be carried out under one roof, further details of which can be found in a press release. Until now, Vögeli had worked with partners to further process paper and cardboard packaging after printing.

Sustainability is a focus for Vögeli when it comes to the production of packaging solutions. For example, Vögeli became the first printing company in the world to be certified in accordance with the Cradle-to-Cradle Gold Standard. The printing products manufactured in line with the Cradle-to-Cradle principle can be returned to the natural cycle without leaving any waste behind. In addition, Vögeli’s manufacturing activities have been carried out on a totally CO2-neutral and climate-neutral basis since 2008. Due to the fact that all packaging production steps are now carried out by the company itself, Vögeli claims in the press release that its production activities will be more sustainable overall moving forwards.
