4D Lifetec establishes presence in Cambridge

4D Lifetec has now founded a subsidiary to serve the North American market. The company, which is headquartered in Cham in the canton of Zug, has established 4D Lifetec Inc. in close proximity to the Innovation Center of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge. As part of the Greater Boston metropolitan region in the US State of Massachusetts, Cambridge is home to one of the world’s leading life sciences hubs.

4D Lifetec is a pioneering company in the field of non-invasive immuno-oncology blood tests for the early detection of cancer. According to a press release, the company has “developed a proprietary transformative DDS biomarker that has the potential to become a key element in the diagnostic cascade for all main types of cancers”. The flagship product is a test for the detection of lung cancer. However, additional tests for breast cancer, prostate cancer and colon cancer are “already CE IVD certified and ready to access additional markets worldwide”.

As Giancarlo Rizzoli, newly appointed CEO of 4D Lifetec in January 2023, explains, the new office will play “a central role in initiating and supporting our clinical trials in the USA”, adding that: “We have already started to augment our team with additional professionals on-site in Boston”.

In 2019, 4D Lifetec was named by Venturelab as one of its ten Venture Leader Life Sciences.
