ABB opens new office in Mexico City

Mexico City - ABB has opened a new office in Mexico City. Swiss Ambassador Pietro Piffaretti, ABB Global CEO Björn Rosengren and President of SwissCham México Simon Blondin all attended an event to celebrate the opening.

The automation and energy group ABB has opened a new office in Mexico City. According to a press release, the new opening marks an important step towards strengthening investment and trade relations between Switzerland and Mexico. The opening ceremony was attended by Swiss Ambassador Pietro Piffaretti, ABB Global CEO Björn Rosengren, President of the Swiss-Mexican Chamber Simon Blondin, Country Managing Director ABB México Vicente Magana, and Executive Director of the Swiss-Mexican Chamber Emilia Pfeiffer.

ABB México has further sites in Monterrey, Guadalajara and Coatzacoalcos, and a manufacturing and engineering campus in San Luis Potosí.

The new premises will strengthen ABB’s presence in the Mexican capital city, says Ambassador Piffaretti in the LinkedIn press release. He adds that he would like to thank Fadlala Akabani, Secretary of Economic Development of Mexico City, and Eduardo Contro Rodríguez, Director of Economic Development of the Municipality of Miguel Hidalgo, for their great cooperation in bringing more Swiss companies to Mexico City, and mentions the support provided by Ruben Araiza and Michelle Adamo from Swiss Business Hub Mexico to enable Swiss companies to develop their activities in Mexico. Swiss Business Hub Mexico is an important point of contact for small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) from Switzerland and Liechtenstein that are seeking export opportunities on the Mexican market. ce/gba
