Root/Munich - Amphasys, a company based at Technopark Luzern, will be presenting its latest developments in the field of pollen cell analysis at the Analytica trade fair. Based on electrical methods, this technology can deliver information on vitality and cell count as well as metabolic and health status in fewer than two minutes.

Amphasys will be presenting its latest innovations in the area of cell analysis technology at Analytica, the world’s leading trade fair for laboratory technology, analysis and biotechnology. The event is set to take place April 9-12 at the Trade Fair Center Messe München.

According to a press release issued by the global supplier of innovative solutions for the analysis of pollen cells, the technology facilitates the analysis of aspects including vitality and cell count. Furthermore, it delivers information on the metabolic and health status of the cells. Compared with conventional flow cytometry on the basis of optical methods, the impedance flow cytometry developed by the company headquartered at Technopark Luzern is based on electrical methods. According to information from the company, this offers advantages such as marker-free analyses and measurements of cloudy and autofluorescent media. Moreover, this method is more cost-effective, Amphasys claims.

Amphasys will be situated at Stand 126 in Hall A3, where interested visitors will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with their own measurements. Moreover, the company will be presenting the portable pollen analysis device Ampha P20, which allows cell analysis to be carried out wherever this might be needed.

“Analytica is the most important event for analytics and biotechnology, and this is exactly where our technology can solve problems and provide benefits”, comments Dr. Marco Di Berardino, CTO of Amphasys, who explains that his company’s instruments allow users to gain deeper insights into cellular processes and better control them. “We look forward to demonstrating how our solutions can transform their operations”. ce/mm
