Brugg Pipes and Rovanco establish joint venture

Brugg/Joliet - Brugg Pipes and Rovanco Piping Systems have entered into an agreement on a joint venture company for the production of piping systems for the district heating and cooling sector. The headquarters are in the Chicago metropolitan area.

Brugg Rohrsystem AG, a part of the Brugg Group based in Kleindöttingen in the canton of Aargau and trading under the name Brugg Pipes, has entered into an agreement for a joint venture with its long-term sales partner Rovanco Piping Systems in the USA. According to a press release, production at Rovanco’s headquarters in the Chicago metropolitan area will put an end to long lead times for pipes from Europe.

The press release goes on to state that the two companies are combining their strengths and knowledge to start the first continuous production of flexible, polyurethane-insulated piping systems for the district heating & cooling sector in North America. The investment includes the development of production sites at Rovanco’s location.

Head of International Business at Brugg Pipes Geri Wirz commented: “As the leading provider of pre-insulated piping systems in North America and our exclusive partner in this market for many years, Rovanco plays a key role in this partnership.” He added that the collaboration would enable quicker delivery of high-quality, flexible piping systems to customers in North America.

Chad Godeaux, President of Rovanco Piping Systems, commented: “With BRUGG Pipes’ market expertise and in-depth knowledge in PUR insulation foams for flexible pipes, we are poised to further increase our market share in North America.” PUR stands for polyurethane plastics.

According to its own figures, the Brugg Group employs around 1,700 staff at 24 production sites and more than 30 sales organizations in key industrial countries. ce/gba
