Bühler and partners join forces for food innovations in Brazil

The Bühler Group, a technology enterprise based in the canton of St.Gallen, has announced the opening of the Tropical Food Innovation Lab in Campinas, a city to the north-west of São Paulo in Brazil, further details of which can be found in a press release. Together with its partners Cargill, Givaudan, the Institute for Food Technology (Ital) and the FoodTech HUB Latam, the aim is for the innovation center to fuel the development of sustainable food and drinks. At the same time, the research and development activities will prioritize the promotion of Brazilian biodiversity, the press release explains.
The Tropical Food Innovation Lab, which is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, covers an area of 1,300 square meters, offering research institutes, universities, companies, investors and start-ups access to cutting-edge technology for the rapid production of prototypes as well as a direct connection to the global food and beverage industry. In addition to application and analysis labs, as well as a cutting-edge test and demo kitchen, the innovation center also houses coworking space, where businesses, food engineers, nutritionists and other experts can meet to jointly advance innovative developments.
