Feusisberg/Utrecht - MedTech company Dividat, located in the canton of Schwyz, has acquired exclusive distribution rights for the company Tover. The Tovertafel (or “Magic Table” in English) projects games for people with dementia or cognitive challenges from the ceiling onto a table, in order to encourage activity and communication.

According to a press release, the Schwyz-based MedTech company Dividat now has exclusive distribution of Dutch care innovation Tovertafel in Switzerland. The Tovertafel, or “Magic Table” in English, produced by Utrecht-based company Tover, is a box that is mounted onto the ceiling above a table. It contains a projector, infrared sensors, a speaker and a processor, which enable interactive games and cognitive-motor exercises to be projected onto the table. The tool is intended to stimulate those with dementia and older people with cognitive challenges to be more active in their daily lives.

The Tovertafel currently offers 30 different games for carers, older people and their relatives to choose from, with a range of difficulty levels. The games promote physical activity and communication, encourage interaction and stimulate cognitive abilities. Tover aims to provide a suitable game for every difficulty level, every challenge and every situation.

“We are excited to be able to represent Tover in Switzerland and are confident that the Tovertafel will have a positive impact on many people's lives,” says Joris van het Reve, Managing Director of Dividat AG, in the press release. Dividat is a spin-off of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich and specializes in innovative technologies in the senior living and care homes sector. ce/eb
