Fixposition collaborates with Chinese company Sixents Technology

Schlieren/Beijing - Fixposition AG, based in Schlieren in the canton of Zurich, is collaborating with Sixents Technology. The Chinese company will use the start-up’s sensors to make its positioning offering more precise. Sixents Technology solutions are used across China.

Fixposition AG has concluded a partnership with Sixents Technology from Beijing. According to a press release, the Chinese company will use Fixposition’s sensors to enable positioning information down to the centimeter.

Sixents Technology is a provider of high-precision positioning solutions based on global navigation satellite systems (GNSS). It has installed around 3,000 continuously operating reference stations (CORS) across China. According to the information provided, the positioning data from Sixents Technology will be used by players from a variety of industries.

According to Zhenzhong Su, Co-Founder and CEO of Fixposition, combining the technologies from Fixposition and Sixents Technology “will enable high-precision global positioning to serve a broader array of application scenarios.” He adds that the collaboration will enable solutions for autonomous devices working in complex environments where satellite signals are susceptible to interference.

Fixposition is a spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH). The startup’s sensors are already used in autonomous lawn mowers, sweeping robots, and agricultural robots. ce/ssp
