Hans Burri Feinmechanik completes generational change

Unterägeri - Andy and Daniel Burri have taken over the management of Hans Burri Feinmechanik AG. The generational change at the precision knife specialist is therefore completed in 2024. There are plans to develop new sales markets under the new management.

Hans Burri Feinmechanik AG, which is based in Unterägeri in the canton of Zug, is now being managed by the third generation of the Burri family, according to a statement. Peter Burri fully transferred the management of the company to his sons Andy and Daniel Burri, who both act as managing directors. Peter Burri remains on the Board of Directors. He is the son of Hans Burri, who founded the company in 1972. Today, it is an original equipment manufacturer for many machine manufacturers in the wire processing industry. It focuses on the development and production of precision blades, as well as special tools and machine parts.

The new management duo has already designed and unveiled a new website for the company. Its focus is on expanding the existing strategy. “Now is the time to address new challenges and develop further," Andy Burri is quoted as saying. In the cable industry, the aim is to expand the customer base worldwide. Co-Managing Director Daniel Burri emphasizes: “I am convinced that other industries besides the cable industry can also benefit from our expertise.” The company has targeted the food, packaging, plastics and textile industries.

According to the statement, the company will retain its current flexibility. It adds that new and improved processes could help to sustainably strengthen the toolmaking and contract manufacturing sectors in Switzerland. ce/yvh
