Holcim acquires HM Factory in Poland

Zug/Sochaczew - The construction materials specialist Holcim has agreed a takeover of HM Factory, a provider of precast concrete solutions based in Poland. With this acquisition, Holcim is expanding its market position in both Poland and Scandinavia.

Holcim has acquired HM Factory, a manufacturer of prefabricated units based in Poland. The Zug-based company is seeking to benefit from the technological and sustainable solutions offered by the Polish firm in the area of industrial and residential construction, further details of which can be found in a press release. With this takeover, Holcim also acquires HM Factory’s business activities on the Polish and Scandinavian markets, in addition to the Polish firm’s 70 employees.

HM Factory is headquartered in Sochaczew, which is around 70 kilometers from the Polish capital city Warsaw. The company generates annual net sales of 18 million Swiss francs. Its production portfolio covers a wide variety of needs including walls, staircases and balconies. The prudent use of materials as well as innovative constructions in 3D printing technology facilitate sustainable production processes, the press release explains.

“HM Factory is a perfect complement to our existing operations, offering multiple technological and raw material synergies”, comments Miljan Gutovic, Region Head Europe at Holcim, in the press release. According to Gutovic, Holcim additionally stands to benefit from the experience of HM Factory’s employees in green matters and the company’s highly efficient modular technology. eb
