Duck Creek Technologies is to acquire the Zurich-based start-up Imburse, further details of which can be found in a press release. The fintech firm offers a cloud platform for international payments that facilitates rapid and secure transactions. It can also link older systems to the global payments ecosystem via a single connection. The platform is primarily used in the insurance industry.
Imburse will continue to serve its existing client base after the acquisition, while the platform will still be available in its current form. At the same time, however, it will also be fully integrated into the existing portfolio of Duck Creek Technologies.
Moreover, the software provider from Boston in the US State of Massachusetts intends to focus on expanding the global footprint of the Imburse platform. In this context, the European, North American and Asia-Pacific markets will be targeted.
“Imburse has developed a great product for the global insurance industry that is not only easy to integrate and implement, but also gives carriers incredible flexibility and payment choices”, comments Mike Jackowski, CEO of Duck Creek Technologies, in the press release. In addition, he praised the extensive expertise of the team behind the fintech firm founded in 2018.
Imburse also secured investment from the consulting firm Accenture in 2021. ssp
