Lydec is seeking offers for projects in an international tender for two programs: for rainwater processing sanitation (Assainissement Pluvial Prioritaire, or PAPP) and for the use of reprocessed wastewater (PNAM). According to a press release, there are four sections: strengthening the water system in the east, the system in the west, the main lines in the region of the Hay Hassani Galerie in Casablanca, and around the main collector in the Errahma district.
According to Lydec’s own description of itself on its website, it is a public service provider that manages the distribution of water and energy, the collection of wastewater and rain water, and public lighting for 4.2 million inhabitants in the Grand Casablanca region. These responsibilities were transferred to Lydec within the context of a management contract signed by the municipalities of Casablanca, Mohammedia, and Aïn Harrouda, the Ministry of Interior as the supervisory authority, and Lydec in 1997.
The tender documents can be downloaded on a special Lydec webpage. The deadline for submitting an offer is stated as Tuesday, March 14 at 04:00 p.m. local time. Offers will be opened on Wednesday, March 15 at 09:30 a.m. at Lydec’s headquarters on Rue Mohamed Diouri in Casablanca. gba
