Rolle/Montreal - Software company Sophia Genetics has entered into a long-term cooperation agreement with Exactis Innovation, a Canadian network of hospital partners, with the aim of providing data-driven therapy to cancer patients in Canada.

Sophia Genetics, which is based in the canton of Vaud and specializes in data-driven medicine, has signed a long-term cooperation agreement with Canadian network Exactis Innovation. As a press release explains, the cooperation will focus on research and data-driven decision-making in cancer treatment. Exactis Innovation, which is located in Montreal in the province of Quebec, is a non-profit network of hospital partners throughout Canada that works to improve cancer survival rates by accelerating data-driven decision-making. As part of the cooperation agreement, Exactis will join the Sophia DDM network and make use of the Sophia DDM platform. This will give its researchers access to a global data network containing a wide range of robust datasets, which will provide insights to support cancer treatment for the Canadian population.

“Our enhanced focus on real-world data positions us as a key resource for impartial insights for both industry and public sectors,” says Kostas Trakas, CEO of Exactis Innovation. “Our participation in contributing to, and learning from, the collective intelligence enabled by Sophia Genetics stems from our belief that the path to superior data-driven decisions lies in overcoming borders and utilizing top-tier, ready-to-use real world data.”

“It is our continued goal to improve health outcomes for patients globally by equipping local health institutions with the technology needed to exercise data-driven medicine,” adds Dr Jurgi Camblong, CEO and co-founder of Sophia Genetics. ce/ww
