Zug/Singapore - SUSI Partners has launched a renewable energy platform in Southeast Asia. To this end, the investment manager for the global energy transition has teamed up with the regional project developer Pacific Impact. The construction and operation of large-scale wind, solar and hydroelectric power plants also form part of the plans.

SAETF (SUSI Asia Energy Transition Fund), the SUSI Partners energy transition fund with a focus on the market in Southeast Asia, has launched a platform for the development of utility-scale renewable energy assets in conjunction with the Singapore-based project developer Pacific Impact Development. The target countries include Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia and the Philippines, in addition to other markets across South-East Asia.

According to a press release, the focus of the Zug-based infrastructure investment manager is on the greenfield development of photovoltaic, wind and hydroelectric plants. This will also include an opportunity to construct and operate such assets.

To this end, the two companies intend to mobilize international capital. Pacific Impact will act as developer and project manager. The company is active across all target markets and has many years of experience in the development of renewable energy projects in Southeast Asia. SUSI will contribute its investment expertise with the aim of ensuring “effective value creation and the highest standards in responsible project delivery”.

As detailed in the press release, this is SAETF’s fourth transaction and its first investment in large-scale renewable energy production facilities. The fund, which was founded in 2017, has received capital commitments from development banks, development funds and private investors. mm
