Freienbach/Marrakesh - Swiss businesses will again have the opportunity to exhibit at GITEX Africa as part of the SWISS Pavilion. Official coordinator T-Link is accepting registrations up to January 26. The largest and most important tech and start-up trade fair across Africa is set to take place May 29-31, 2024, in Marrakesh, Morocco.

In its role as general contractor, T-Link Management from Freienbach in the canton of Schwyz is also organizing the joint presentation of Swiss companies, known as the SWISS Pavilion, at this year’s edition of GITEX Africa, which is set to take place May 29-31, 2024, in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh. The Swiss ambassador to Morocco, Guillaume Scheurer, has penned a personal letter inviting companies to participate in the event, explaining that Switzerland Global Enterprise and the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Morocco as well as Presence Switzerland will also be doing their bit to support the Swiss participation.

In his letter, he underlines the huge potential offered by the African continent with its “dynamic digitalization landscape”. Moreover, the successful joint bid to host the FIFA World Cup between Morocco, Spain and Portugal opens up opportunities in the areas of infrastructure, smart stadiums and technology integration.

“Now is the time to demonstrate innovative solutions to a continent offering an opportunity”, as the T-Link invitation states. In fact, “Africa is ripe with opportunities”, T-Link adds, with these ranging from “the global tech ecosystem to the bustling African tech hubs of Nairobi and Lagos to the burgeoning start-ups of Cape Town and Cairo”.

For the SWISS Pavilion, T-Link offers all of the necessary logistical services from a single source, including individual consulting and planning. For start-ups, there are attractive participation terms on offer from partners including Innosuisse, the Swiss Innovation Agency. According to the information, T-Link has until January 29, 2024, to submit a finalized list of participants to the event organizers. Interested parties are invited to register before the end of January 26, 2024, or alternatively to personally contact T-Link project manager Niels van Heerden. ce/mm
