Bern/Zlín - Users of the public transport network in the Zlín region of south-east Czechia will in future be able to seamlessly travel on all regional modes of transport thanks to the mobile ticketing solution developed by FAIRTIQ. The new service is set to be rolled out before the end of this year.

FAIRTIQ, the Bern-based supplier of mobile ticketing solutions for public transport applications, will be making travel throughout the Czech region of Zlín easier thanks to its digital solution. This pay-as-you-go ticketing solution of the same name will be introduced by the regional transport authority KOVED before the end of this year. With this Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering from FAIRTIQ, passengers are able to travel across the bus, tram and rail network simply by swiping a button on their smartphone.

“We had been dreaming of being able to board a bus at Zlín Zoo, transfer at Holešov, and arrive in Kroměříž, all while an app effortlessly calculates and pays for the entire journey”, comments Jakub Zach, Chairman of the Transport Committee, Zlín Region, in a press release. “Thanks to FAIRTIQ, it’s not just a dream but a near reality, transforming the way we use public transport”, he concludes.

Czechia is internationally renowned for its exceptional public transport offerings, according to FAIRTIQ founder and co-CEO Gian-Mattia Schucan, who adds that “Zlín has long been a laboratory for new ideas”. His company is “particularly excited to welcome Czech public transport users to the FAIRTIQ family”. ce/mm
