As we stand at the crossroads of technology, innovation, and commerce, I am  thrilled to introduce you to "Opportunity West Coast," a beacon illuminating the myriad pathways to growth and success in the Swiss-American Business Corridor - connecting Mexico to Canada with Southern California as its key engine and catalyst right in the middle. 

I am both honored and delighted to welcome you to this exciting journey. As the Chairman of the Swiss American Chamber of Commerce, Southern California, and as a start-up entrepreneur who has ventured into the vibrant landscape of the West Coast, I have witnessed firsthand the incredible opportunities that lie at our doorstep. It is with this conviction that I bring to you a newsletter dedicated to uncovering, exploring, and embracing the multitude of prospects this region has to offer.

"Opportunity West Coast '' is not just another newsletter; it is your window into the dynamic world of economic growth of a geographic area, that is the 4th or even the 3rd largest economy in the world if it were its own country. Our focus is clear: we are here to disclose and highlight growth opportunities, trends, actions, events, and changes that are shaping the future. We spotlight the driving forces behind innovation, in sectors like CleanTech, MedTech, FoodTech, Aerospace, AgriTech, Life Science, Financial Technology, and beyond.

The correlation between Switzerland's power in technology innovation and intellectual property (IP) and the West Coast's insatiable appetite for such innovation is nothing short of outstanding. It's a marriage of expertise and ambition that holds tremendous promise for those willing to explore it.

But this is not the whole story why it is so important to focus on the West Coast now. In today's global landscape, we recognize the immense significance of Asia as the future of the world. And when Asian businesses seek to establish their presence in the United States, they invariably choose the West Coast as their gateway. The old notion that all roads lead to the East Coast is fading, and the West Coast is taking center stage. The Silicon Valley may have set the stage, but the West Coast as a whole, especially Southern California with the LA Metropolitan Area & San Diego, and its diverse industries and entrepreneurial spirit, is where the real action unfolds. Bottom line to that, and my advice: Don’t try to get on board when the ship has sailed. Start exploring or re-engaging now, otherwise your spot will be taken. 

Having said that, there is also more good news. In this 24/7 global working nomad society, the West Coast has become much closer to Europe, and time differences are not as impactful anymore. This is a game-changer for entrepreneurs and executives seeking to engage with the West Coast. The barriers of distance and time have blurred, opening up new avenues for collaboration, innovation, and growth.
