GenTwo opens development location in Kosovo

Zurich/Pristina - GenTwo has opened a location for research and technological development in Pristina, the capital of Kosovo. The Zurich-based FinTech praised the partnership with local authorities and the high density of talent on offer in the region.

The Zurich-based FinTech firm GenTwo is expanding its capacities in the area of research and technological development. To this end, it is establishing a new location in Pristina, which will be accompanied by the founding of a Kosovan subsidiary by the name of GenTwo X LLC, further details of which can be found in a press release.

The new subsidiary will combine competencies in the areas of software development, design and operation. Initially, the local team will consist of ten people. It is headed up by Kristjan Gojani, who will also be responsible for managing the new subsidiary.

“This add-on to the GenTwo family allows us more flexibility over expanding our business roadmap and technical competencies by sourcing in an environment of high talent density”, comments Philippe A. Naegeli, CEO and co-founder of GenTwo, in the press release. COO Pren Pervorfi additionally highlights the fact that “the collaboration with the local authorities for setting the foundation of our new company in Pristina has been extremely professional”. This reflects the “local technical savviness and orientation”, he adds.

GenTwo specializes in creation of securitization platforms. They are used by asset managers, banks and venture capital investors, with the platforms also facilitating investments in innovative assets.
