
SWISS Pavilion at the Dubai Airshow off to a successful start

The Dubai Air Show is one of the world's biggest air shows. Switzerland is once again represented this year with its own SWISS Pavilion, opened on 13 November by Air Force Chief Peter "Pablo" Merz and Swiss Consul General Angelica Schempp, according to the organizers.
The 13 exhibiting companies include young companies like Aerolite, Caruso & Freeland, G-NIUS, Jekta and Keepears. Aerolite AG from Ennetbürgen in the canton of Nidwalden supplies low weight structural carbon components. Caruso & Freeland from Neuhausen am Rheinfall in the canton of Schaffhausen is showcasing sunglasses in Dubai that are the first without a frame or screws, and also offer UV and blue light protection. G-NIUS from Eysins presents G-protective pants designed to protect jet pilots in high G or centrifugal forces. Jekta from Payerne in the caonton of Vaud has developed an amphibious electric airplane. Keepears from Allschwil in the canton of Basel-Landschaft offers hearing protection systems for extremely challenging environments. Bucher Leichtbau, Oerlikon, SR Technics and Starrag as well as Pilatus are also exhibiting in Dubai.
The SWISS Pavilion is organized by the specialist logistics company T-LINK in collaboration with the industry association Swissmem. The Center for Aviation and Space Competence at the University of St.Gallen is also organizing a tour of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub in the south of Dubai on 15 November. On 16 November, it will lead a panel discussion at the Aerospace 2050 conference taking place parallel to the trade fair. ce/stk
